About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Director to lead revenue growth, pricing discipline, and commercial performance across an established UK Care franchise.
This is a senior leadership role focused on sustainable growth, margin protection, and franchisee success within a regulated care environment. Reporting to the CEO / Managing Director, the role ensures franchisees are commercially viable, franchisor income is scalable and predictable, and pricing and contracts support high-quality, ethical care delivery.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the commercial strategy and drive network-wide growth across private pay, commissioned income, and franchisor fees
2. Own and govern pricing frameworks, including recommended hourly rates and minimum margin thresholds
3. Protect the network against unprofitable discounting and loss-making contracts
Support franchisees with pricing decisions, local authority negotiations, tenders, and contract reviews
4. Drive franchisor income growth and identify new commercial value-creating income streams
5. Oversee and monitor franchisee commercial performance, including revenue growth, margin, and client mix
6. Constructively challenge underperformance and implement commercial improvement plans
7. Enable sales and business development through playbooks, pricing tools, and value-based selling frameworks
8. Provide high-quality commercial insight, forecasting, and reporting to the Board and senior leadership
9. Ensure all commercial decisions align with regulatory requirements, ethical care standards, and brand values
About You
10. Proven experience as a Commercial Director or senior commercial leader within a multi-site, franchised, or networked business
11. Demonstrable track record of driving revenue growth while protecting margin
Clear experience developing and growing private-pay revenue streams through pricing strategy and value-led selling
12. Strong expertise in pricing, margin management, P&L ownership, and commercial forecasting
13. Comfortable influencing, challenging, and supporting franchise owners and senior stakeholders
14. Experience within care, healthcare, or other regulated services is highly desirable
