About the role: HR Advisor: Activate Learning is looking for an enthusiastic and driven HR Advisor to join our vibrant HR team. As part of our collaborative and forward-thinking HR function, you’ll work alongside specialists in Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Diversity & Inclusion, HRIS, Reward, HR Services, and Business Partnering. In this role, HR Advisor, you will partner with key stakeholders across our 8 campuses located in Oxfordshire, Berkshire, and Surrey, providing expert guidance and practical support on a wide range of people matters. Your responsibilities will include coaching and advising managers on employee relations issues such as performance management, absence, disciplinary processes, and grievances. You’ll also support more complex cases in collaboration with an HR Business Partner to ensure effective and timely resolution. As we enter an exciting phase of transformation, we offer a hybrid working model, requiring a minimum of three days on-site. Your base location will be at Oxford Campus, with travel to other sites as needed. What do you need to be a successful HR Advisor? You will bring previous experience in a generalist HR or HR Advisory role, with the confidence to manage a busy and varied employee relations caseload. You’ll have a strong understanding of absence management, disciplinary, grievance, and capability procedures, and be adept at navigating these with professionalism and sensitivity. Data will be a valuable tool in your approach-you’ll be comfortable using it to support hiring managers in decision-making and to help drive positive people outcomes. Exceptional communication and coaching skills are essential, as is your ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organisation. HR Advisor Essential Requirements: CIPD qualified Level 3 working towards Level 5 Previous experience of working in a fast-paced HR team managing multiple ER cases.
