Global Market Access Director, ViiV Pipeline

Pricing and Market Access (P&MA) are critical to realising the full potential of ViiV Healthcare’s pipeline of transformational HIV innovations for people living with, or at risk of, HIV, healthcare systems, and society.
This is a highly strategic opportunity for a Global Market Access Director, ViiV Pipeline, to shape the market access strategy for a dynamic HIV pipeline, including long‑acting therapies, novel mechanisms, prevention innovations, and future treatment paradigms. The role is pivotal in ensuring that payer, HTA, and policy expectations are embedded early, enabling timely, equitable, and sustainable access through comprehensive value recognition at launch and beyond.
The vision of the Global Pricing and Market Access team is to be the industry leader in enabling patient access to life‑changing medicines. In this role, you will act as a strategic partner in the cross-functional early commercialisation team including, R&D, Commercial Strategy, Health Outcomes externally anticipating payer and policy expectations, and internally influencing asset strategy, evidence generation, and value communication to maximise the future impact of ViiV’s pipeline.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Lead the Global Pricing and Market Access Strategy for ViiV Healthcare’s HIV pipeline, with a clear focus on pre‑launch and launch‑readiness activities across treatment and prevention assets.
2. Shape early access strategy by embedding payer, HTA, and policy requirements into target product profiles (TPPs), development plans, and indication sequencing.
3. Assess pricing and reimbursement potential across priority markets identifying risks, opportunities, and evidence needs well ahead of launch.
4. Inform and influence evidence generation strategy, ensuring alignment with future payer and HTA expectations, including clinical endpoints, comparators, real‑world evidence, and health economic outcomes.
5. Develop Global Payer Value propositions that articulate the clinical, economic, and societal value of pipeline innovations.
6. Provide market access leadership within Integrated Asset Planning, ensuring access considerations are central to development decision‑making and portfolio prioritisation.
7. Partner closely with Global Medical, Regulatory, Commercial, Government Affairs, Insights, Health outcomes teams to align on future stakeholder needs in the evolving HIV landscape.
8. Represent the payer and market access perspective on Early Commercial Teams for pipeline assets.
9. Anticipate future policy, funding, and health system dynamics, including prevention strategies, public health programmes, and innovative contracting models relevant to HIV.
10. Develop and deploy tools, frameworks, and guidance to prepare Regions and LOCs for future launches, ensuring consistent and high‑quality access planning.
11. Manage external partners and vendors supporting pipeline access workstreams, delivering outputs on time and within budget, in line with governance requirements.

Basic Qualifications
12. Significant experience in Pricing and Market Access, including LOC delivery and a strong focus on pipeline, early‑stage, or pre‑launch strategy.
13. Demonstrated success in shaping global or regional access strategies particularly for innovative, differentiated medicines.
14. Deep understanding of HTA, payer decision‑making, pricing policy, and reimbursement systems across major markets.
15. Strong knowledge of how regulatory and development decisions influence future access and value.
16. Degree qualified in Science, Medicine, Health Economics, Health Policy, or Business.
17. Proven ability to influence cross‑functional teams and senior stakeholders, in a complex, matrix environment and ability to partner with LOCs for success.
18. Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
19. MBA or Master’s degree in a scientific, economic, or health‑related discipline (e.g. Health Economics).
20. Experience in HIV, infectious diseases, prevention, or specialty medicines.
21. Experience in long‑acting therapies, novel modalities, and shaping highly innovative development programmes.
22. Experience in successfully evolving HTA/payer criteria to capture additional value elements.
