About the Role Milton Keynes City Council is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join their Children in Care Team, with a strong focus on court work and child protection. This is a busy and impactful role, working with children subject to care planning, child protection and court proceedings. You will manage a varied caseload while supporting the progression of cases through Public Law Outline and care proceedings. You'll play a key role in ensuring children's safety, stability and permanence planning, while working closely with partners and the wider safeguarding system. Hybrid: 3 days office/2 days Working from home Key Responsibilities Manage a caseload across Children in Care (CIC) and Child Protection (CP) Undertake court work, including Public Law Outline (PLO) and care proceedings Prepare high-quality court statements and reports Complete statutory visits for CP and Looked After Children (LAC) Participate in the duty rota, supporting incoming safeguarding work Effectively assess and manage risk, ensuring timely decision-making and interventions Why Join Milton Keynes City Council?
