The Division of Health Research (DHR) within Lancaster University’s Faculty of Health and Medicine is seeking to fill a Research Associate position. In this role you will join a new 11‑month research project funded by the NIHR School for Public Health Research that explores the impact of sponsorship deals in local councils on public health and the planet. You will be the lead researcher supporting the health economic component of the project, designing the health‑economic plan, conducting workshops with key stakeholders, and preparing findings for publications and other dissemination avenues. You will also support other project‑related tasks such as writing reports and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications: You will have a degree in a discipline related to health economics and demonstrated experience with economic evaluation methodology. Experience working with stakeholders outside academia and an interest in public health and sustainability research are essential. Flexibility, independence, and the ability to work collaboratively are required.
Additional information: The position is available immediately, with flexible working arrangements and a hybrid‑working option from the Health Innovation campus. Contract is indefinite but contingent on external funding that is expected to end 12 months from commencement.
