Overview
The Production Manager in Training (PMT) will learn all aspects of manufacturing operations in a building components plant, with a strong emphasis on associate safety and the quality of structural wood components such as roof trusses, floor trusses, and wall panels for residential, multi-family, and agricultural construction.
Your career begins at the manufacturing plant closest to your home. Under the mentorship of the Plant Manager, you will follow a structured PMT training guide. The 9-12 month program includes:
1. On-the-job training
2. Classroom training
3. A leadership development course
4. Initiation of a Lean Green Belt certification program
5. Additional training, including continuous improvement projects
6. Potential travel to other manufacturing sites for broader exposure. Travel arrangements are managed by 84 Lumber's Travel Department.
7. Relocation to an existing or new facility upon program completion.

Pay: $20/hr + monthly incentives
Schedule: 6:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday

Responsibilities include:

* Maintaining safety and quality standards
* Ensuring efficient manufacturing flow
* Operating and calibrating advanced manufacturing equipment, such as laser projection units, automated saws, jigging tables, and material transportation systems
* Participating in special projects as assigned
Qualifications:

* High school diploma or GED; a bachelor's degree, preferably in industrial engineering, is preferred
