Job Title: Cover Supervisor (CS)
Location: Chesterfield
Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025

GSL Education are currently seeking a proactive and adaptable Cover Supervisor to support schools in Chesterfieldstarting from September 2025. This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced classroom leaders looking to gain valuable experience in a supportive school setting.
As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain on task with pre-set work.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
* Supervise lessons and maintain classroom order in the absence of the class teacher.
* Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure pupils remain on task.
* Provide support and manage classroom behaviour effectively.
* Build positive relationships with students and staff.
* Support pupils in line with the school's safeguarding policies.
To be a Cover Supervisor, candidates will require:
* Previous experience working with young people in a school or educational setting.
* Confidence to lead a class independently.
* Strong communication and classroom management skills.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
* A full CV with a clear 10-year history, with any gaps explained.
