Insolvency Manager — Stoke (Hybrid) Salary: £50,000–£65,000 bonus benefits (DOE) Contract: Permanent, full-time The firm Join a well-established Cheshire insolvency & restructuring practice with a strong referrer network across Stoke, Cheshire East and the wider North West. They’re known for quality over volume, partner access, and steady pipelines covering owner-managed and mid-market work (manufacturing, transport, services). What you’ll be doing You’ll lead a corporate portfolio and a small team, taking appointments from pre-pack/contingency planning through to closure. Expect genuine autonomy and day-to-day collaboration with the IP/Partners. Core responsibilities * Cradle-to-grave delivery across Administrations, CVLs/MVLs and occasional CVAs/personal insolvency oversight. * Scope case strategy, timelines and budgets; manage WIP/recoveries and ensure SIP/legislative compliance (incl. SIP 2/9/16) and AML. * Draft/approve proposals, progress and closure reports, decision procedure notices, statements of affairs and deficiency accounts. * Oversee investigations, antecedent transaction reviews, asset realisations and creditor distributions. * Front-end advisory: options reviews, solvency assessments and stakeholder briefings pre-appointment. * Team leadership: mentor Administrators/Seniors, set priorities, review files and raise documentation standards. * Drive stakeholder comms, directors, lenders, landlords, agents and creditor committees, resolving complex queries professionally. * Maintain audit-ready files in IPS/Turnkey (or similar) with first-time-right documentation. What you’ll bring * Solid track record managing corporate insolvency cases (administrations & CVLs essential). * Confident leading stakeholder meetings and supervising juniors. * Up-to-date knowledge of UK insolvency legislation, SIPs, decision procedures and reporting requirements. * Systems savvy, IPS/Turnkey (or equivalent) and strong Excel. * CPI and/or JIEB (or the ambition to complete; support provided).
