Join to apply for the Hydrogeologist role at Stantec.

Our expanding workload in groundwater resources and contaminated land-related work means we are actively recruiting to support our growing team specialising in these areas. We seek energetic and innovative staff to deliver our solution-oriented services to existing and new clients. This position will require you to work within multi-disciplinary teams to support projects across the UK and internationally. It can potentially be based in Bristol, Cardiff, Reading, High Wycombe, Shrewsbury, Birmingham, Glasgow, or Edinburgh.


Responsibilities

* Support and deliver hydrogeological and environmental aspects of varied projects across the UK and internationally.
* Work within multi-disciplinary teams to support our solution-oriented services to existing and new clients.
* Learn and gain experience in field-based monitoring/sampling and drilling supervision; pumping test supervision and analysis; data analytics, scripting and numerical groundwater modelling; or geochemical modelling and hydrochemical analysis (advantage).
* Develop professional experience towards chartered status, with support from Stantec over the next five years.
* Develop good communication skills with colleagues and sub-contractors in a professional setting; learn to operate in the regulatory, business and policy environment affecting our clients.


Qualifications

* A science-based undergraduate degree and/or an MSc in Hydrogeology, and at least three years of post-graduate experience in supporting hydrogeology-related projects.
* Practical knowledge of field-based monitoring/sampling and drilling supervision; pumping tests supervision and analysis; data analytics, scripting and numerical groundwater modelling; or geochemical modelling and hydrochemical analysis would be an advantage.
* You will be enthusiastic about learning from more experienced Stantec Hydrogeologists and taking on more responsibility as an early-career professional.
* Good communication, data management, quantitative analysis and effective science communication, with the ability to produce high-quality oral and written communications.
* Good time management, professionalism, and a flexible attitude to work within a busy and dynamic team.
