About the Role
The Forensic Case Management Officer (FCMO) coordinates forensic work requests and provides advice and support to police officers on forensic services, including drug services. The FCMO compiles and provides forensic intelligence, coordinates the movement of exhibits, processes biometric samples, maintains accurate records, and updates force systems. The role maximises the use of available evidence in serious acquisitive crime and supports the investigation of crime across Staffordshire.
Responsibilities
 * Coordinate forensic work requests and ensure timely completion.
 * Provide advice and support to police officers on forensic services, especially drug services.
 * Compile and deliver forensic intelligence to support investigations.
 * Manage the movement of exhibits within the Force and to external providers.
 * Process force biometric samples in accordance with government legislation and Biometrics Commissioner regulation.
 * Maintain accurate records and update force systems.
Qualifications & Experience
 * Basic awareness of forensic science and its application to police investigations.
 * Administrative experience with cost estimation, database handling, spreadsheet entry and invoice reconciliation.
 * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all organisational levels.
 * Ability to manage multiple deadlines and deliver results through effective planning and organisation.
 * Experience handling sensitive, distressing and confidential material professionally.
 * Experience or training in basic forensic or forensic intelligence background is desirable.
