This is a central office role for someone who likes taking responsibility, closing loose ends, and improving how things are handled day to day.
You'll support the smooth running of the office while owning follow-ups and work that would otherwise be missed.
About the Role
Non Slip Shop Ltd are recruiting a Commercial Coordinator to join our close-knit office team.
This is an office-based coordination role focused on keeping work moving smoothly between customers, sales, and production. The role exists to own follow-through — making sure enquiries, orders, updates, and actions don't stall or get lost when the office is busy.
Rather than working to a fixed task list, you'll be trusted to pick things up, join the dots, and see work through properly, taking responsibility for the flow of communication and activity across the office.
The purpose of the role is to take pressure out of the office, reduce dropped balls, and give the wider team more headspace — not by managing people, but by owning outcomes.
Role Activities
You'll be responsible for keeping work moving properly across the office, acting as the central point that connects customers, sales, and production. The role is about owning follow-through — making sure enquiries, orders, updates, and actions don't stall or get lost when things are busy.
Day to day, this includes:
* Owning customer communication (updates, ETAs, issue resolution)
* Ensuring orders and paperwork are processed accurately and on time
* Coordinating delivery labels, collections, and dispatch activity
* Routing enquiries and leads to the right people and ensuring they're followed through
* Handling customer queries or complaints calmly and practically
* Taking ownership of admin tasks that currently sit with estimators
A key part of the role is acting as the safety net for follow-ups and warm activity:
* Picking up and progressing warm enquiries or quotations
* Following up conversations that need closure or clarification
* Keeping tracking and notes up to date so nothing relies on memory
Beyond this, part of the role is improving how the office operates:
* Spotting gaps where actions are being missed
* Tidying up handovers, tracking, and ownership
* Putting light structure around warm leads and ongoing work
You'll use tools such as email, spreadsheets, internal systems, and ChatGPT to reduce repetition and make follow-ups more reliable.
This role is not about managing people or pushing sales — it's about owning outcomes, preventing dropped balls, and keeping the office running smoothly.
Firm Requirements (Please Read Carefully)
This role suits someone who is comfortable taking ownership of follow-through, joining the dots across a busy office, and making sure work is completed properly rather than passed on.
To be considered, applicants must demonstrate:
* Experience in a commercial, office-based role where accuracy, communication, and follow-through mattered
* Confidence handling day-to-day customer communication by phone and email, including updates, queries, and issue resolution
* Ability to manage multiple loose ends at once, keeping track of follow-ups, actions, and priorities without constant supervision
* Strong IT confidence, including everyday use of email, spreadsheets, and internal systems
* A judgement-led, proactive approach — spotting when something is being missed and taking responsibility to see it through
Applicants should also be comfortable organising their own workload, stepping in where needed, and improving how work is handled rather than waiting for instruction.
This role is not suitable for call-centre or script-based customer service backgrounds, entry-level office roles with no commercial responsibility, or candidates seeking a narrow, repetitive position with fixed tasks only.
