About the Role
You will teach Food Technology across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging practical and theory-based lessons that develop students’ confidence and competence in food preparation and nutrition.
Students will explore topics including food safety, nutrition, dietary needs, food provenance, product development, and food science while developing practical cooking and evaluative skills.
You will prepare students for GCSE and post-16 Food qualifications, supporting them in building strong practical, analytical, and examination skills.
You will work collaboratively within a successful department to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.

Candidate Requirements
Essential Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level
* Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently
* Strong subject knowledge in Food Technology and Nutrition
* Strong classroom management and communication skills
Desirable
* Experience teaching KS5 Food qualifications
* Experience preparing students for GCSE and post-16 examinations
* Food hygiene qualifications or relevant industry experience
