Anne Corder Recruitment is delighted to be working exclusively with our client, a global leader in specialist power test equipment, to recruit a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their innovative New Product Development (NPD) team.

What you'll be doing:
As a key member of the NPD team, you will be responsible for defining, developing, and delivering new and enhanced electrical products that meet the demands of a technically advanced and international customer base. You will:
Create product concepts using customer and market data
Lead the electrical design process - from early analysis to drawings, models, and schematics using CAD tools
Support and run FMEA, validation, and testing programs
Ensure systems integration and Design for Manufacture (DFM)
Create technical specifications, BOMs, test reports, and customer documentation
Maintain compliance with international standards (e.g., CE, UL, CSA)
Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and cross-functional teams
Keep abreast of new technologies to inform future product improvements
Contribute to continuous improvement in engineering processes and team efficiency
What we're looking for:
A degree (BS/BEng) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
5+ years' experience in a product-focused NPD role
Hands-on experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks Electrical
Understanding of HV, MV, and LV circuits - ideally in connection with load banks, gensets, transformers, or grid-connected systems
Strong problem-solving skills with the confidence to make decisions and lead from the front
Excellent technical documentation and communication skills
A self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
Desirable:
PE (Professional Engineering) status
Knowledge of industry standards and certification processes
Experience with Microsoft 365 tools for documentation and collaboration
