As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will be responsible for managing the classroom in the absence of the teacher and ensuring pupils remain engaged with their learning. Key Duties of Cover Supervisors: Supervise classes during teacher absences and deliver pre-set work. Maintain a positive and focused classroom environment. Manage pupil behaviour in line with school policies. Provide support and guidance to pupils where needed. Ensure lessons run smoothly and learning continues effectively. Report back to teaching staff on pupil behaviour and progress. Essential Requirements: Experience working with young people, ideally in a school or similar setting. Strong classroom and behaviour management skills. Confident communication and organisational abilities. Ability to follow lesson plans and work independently. Flexible, reliable, and proactive approach. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one. What’s in It for You?
