UK Defence Sales Director - Hybrid (London Area preferred)
A Series F Decision Intelligence company is looking to appoint an experienced UK Defence Sales Director to support the continued expansion of its National Security & Defence practice.
This organisation has built an outstanding reputation for delivering cutting-edge link analysis and entity resolution solutions to some of the most complex operational environments across government and defence. Following significant success across the UK public sector, they are now investing further into their Defence sales capability and are seeking an ambitious, well-connected sales leader to drive strategic growth across the sector.
The Defence Sales Director is a senior, high-impact role suited to someone who combines strong enterprise sales capability with deep understanding of Defence stakeholder environments, procurement processes, and mission-focused transformation programmes.
The Opportunity
The Defence Sales Director will be working closely with senior leadership across Sales, Product, Solutions Engineering and Delivery, you will take ownership of driving growth across the UK Defence market.
The role will involve both developing existing strategic relationships and identifying new opportunities across MOD, Defence primes, integrators, and associated ecosystem partners.
You’ll play a key role in shaping go-to-market strategy, building pipeline, leading complex sales engagements, and positioning highly innovative AI and data capabilities within Defence organisations undergoing significant digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities of the Defence Sales Director
* Develop and execute the UK Defence sales strategy
* Build and manage a strong pipeline of Defence opportunities
* Lead enterprise software sales engagements across Defence customers and partners
* Develop relationships across MOD, Defence agencies, SI partners, consultancies, and cloud providers
* Work collaboratively with technical, delivery, and customer success teams to drive successful outcomes
* Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities within existing accounts
* Navigate complex procurement and stakeholder environments
* Consistently deliver against revenue and growth targets
What They’re Looking For in a Defence Sales Director
* Proven experience selling enterprise technology solutions into the UK Defence sector
* Strong understanding of Defence operational environments and procurement processes
* Track record of winning and growing complex strategic accounts
* Experience working with System Integrators, consultancies, and cloud ecosystem partners
* Existing Defence network and established relationships within the sector
* Strong consultative and solution-led sales approach
* Commercially driven, resilient, and highly self-motivated
* Ability to operate effectively within complex stakeholder environments
* Eligible for- or already holding - SC clearance (DV eligibility is an advantage)
