Job Description Solution Architect Derby, UK Derby/Hybrid – minimum 2/3 days on site per week What you will be doing: We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced SAP Solution Architect to join the central team and focus on SAP ERP and supporting systems. Your Daily focus will be split between managing the existing SAP ECC estate and influencing the future roadmap and SAP S/4HANA transition. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing an integrated SAP architecture that ensures seamless operations across business units. You will take accountability for process design, data and system configuration, ensuring a consolidated and balanced approach to improvement, deployment and compliance within the SAP and supporting toolsets. Responsibilities: Govern and administer the Manage the Enterprise SAP design review and go-live review process and develop the Subject Mater Experts capacity to effectively contribute. Contribute to and review architecture documents produced by project Architects. Engage in the technical change control process, ensuring that projects and small changes are defined, test requirements declared, and risks/costs/impacts quantified. Influence the SAP S/4HANA migration strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Collaborate with stakeholders to define/update SAP governance, security, and data management policies. Evaluate SAP best practices and tailor solutions to enhance business agility and scalability. Provide technical guidance and oversee SAP development teams. Contribute to the Alfabet model for current and future Manage the Enterprise systems architecture, creating roadmaps for investments where appropriate Ensure the infrastructure meets current and projected business needs, especially from a security perspective Review system development requests, user access and security role development to ensure compliance with existing defence and U.S. export agreements in place for ERP landscape Influence suppliers to ensure their product meets the “standard” business needs, e.g. through active participation in User Groups Work to ensure system is managed, monitored, and administered to an agreed standard Provide specialist support in the operation of the system Why Rolls-Royce? Competence in SAP integration, middleware solutions (such as SAP PI/PO, BTP Integration Suite), and cloud technologies. Proven ability to design scalable, secure, and efficient SAP landscapes. Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to influence decision-making. Experience working with or migrating to SAP S/4HANA environments is advantageous but not required. Knowledge of integration patterns is desirable. TOGAF, or another recognised architecture qualification is desired but not required. UK Security Clearance is desired but not required.
