About the Role We are looking for a highly organised and proactive HR Assistant to join our team in Central London. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in Human Resources and gain hands-on experience across recruitment, employee administration, onboarding, compliance, and general HR support. The successful candidate will support the HR team with day-to-day operations, ensuring all HR processes run smoothly and professionally. Key Responsibilities Support the HR team with general administrative duties and employee record management Assist with recruitment coordination, including posting job adverts, screening CVs, scheduling interviews, and liaising with candidates Prepare offer letters, employment contracts, onboarding documents, and HR correspondence Support new starter onboarding, including right-to-work checks, reference checks, and induction preparation Maintain accurate and confidential employee records using HR systems and internal databases Assist with payroll preparation by collecting and checking relevant employee information Support absence management, holiday tracking, and sickness documentation Help coordinate training sessions, performance reviews, and employee engagement activities Respond to employee HR queries in a professional and timely manner Ensure HR policies, procedures, and documentation are kept up to date Support compliance with employment law, GDPR, and internal company policies Assist with offboarding processes, including exit documentation and final HR administration Requirements Previous experience in an HR, recruitment, administration, or office support role is desirable Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail Confident written and verbal communication skills Ability to handle confidential information professionally Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Positive, proactive, and professional attitude Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Interest in building a long-term career in Human Resources CIPD Level 3 qualification or working towards it would be advantageous, but not essential What We Offer Central London office location with excellent transport links Supportive and professional working environment Opportunity to gain broad HR experience Career development and training opportunities Exposure to recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, compliance, and HR operations Competitive salary and benefits package Ideal Candidate This role would suit someone who is organised, reliable, people-focused, and eager to develop within HR.
