We are seeking a proactive Management Accountant to deliver accurate, timely financial information to support decision-making, while ensuring compliance with FRS 102, Housing SORP, and internal controls. You will support budgeting, forecasting, and stakeholder reporting, drive process improvements through system-led reporting. Duties include: Prepare individual budget-holder management reports in line with FRS 102 and Housing SORP. Produce monthly management accounts for the Business Partnering team and other stakeholders, within agreed deadlines ensuring accuracy and relevance for analysis and commentary is clear and actionable. Apply consistent accounting treatment for transactions within monthly management accounts, aligned with statutory reporting requirements. Prepare reconciliations for more complex expense codes in line with FRS102/SORP/audit requirements. Review reconciliations prepared by assistant accountants. Prepare journal postings in line with FRS 102/SORP. Review journal postings prepared by assistant accountants. Use financial systems effectively to produce accurate reports and support automation where possible. Contribute ideas for improving reporting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and insight. Support budgeting and forecasting processes by maintaining relevant data and templates. Requirements AAT qualified as a minimum with recent experience in a similar role. Experience in preparing management accounts and reconciliations. Strong attention to detail, accuracy and analytical ability. Good IT and financial system skills, particularly Excel. Experience of providing on-the-job guidance and support to others. Initiative and proactivity to deliver excellent service and drive process improvements. Strong understanding of FRS 102 and Housing SORP. Knowledge of financial systems and reporting requirements. Right to Work in the UK - visa sponsorship is not available.
