Role description:
Quote customised façade access solutions by developing concept designs, calculating BMU loads, preparing prices and approval drawings, and handing over cleanly to Design and Production.
Key tasks & responsibilities:
* Support to Sales Office / Sales & Projects: rapid budget pricing with reference drawings; final offers aligned to standards, local regulations and customer needs; approval drawings post‑award; lifecycle support and schedule
* Financial alignment: lowest compliant cost; concept design congruent with quoted price; PO checks for price validity, FX and ex‑works escalations; accurate cost sheets.
* Support to Engineering & Production: coordination across multi‑system tenders; “special tender” reviews where risk is high; “won job review”; launching sheet; clarifications to factory; FAT wrap‑ups; schedule control (ex‑works, launch, mechanical design)
* Continuous improvement: keep current with SDE instructions, safety and BMU trends; provide product/tooling feedback; contribute to transversal actions; maintain expert CAD knowledge.
* KPIs embedded: order intake); launch value; accuracy and completeness of outputs (drawings, calc sheets, cost sheets, specifications); on‑time delivery; milestone control
* Behavioral: ability to translate technical requirements to mixed audiences; deliver under tight deadlines; team player; “can‑do” ownership; cultural awareness; negotiation skills.
* Technical: mechanical concept/calculation skills; read blueprints/architecture; knowledge of building regulations; strong engineering experience; troubleshooting; CAD (AutoCAD/SolidWorks); quality systems; English fluency; time management
* Experience: design of integrated/customised solutions to tight timescales in an international/regional environment; thrives in change; (desirable) five years across complex engineering/operations.
Qualifications & Competencies:

* Strong knowledge of Architecture, how to read blueprints and drawings
* Good knowledge of all building regulations in jurisdiction of design
* Strong Engineering experience
* Excellent troubleshooting and logical analysis skills.
* Computer Literate, especially on CAD (AutoCAD, Solidworks
* Knowledge of integrated systems and quality approach
* Proficient in English
* Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
* Experience of designing and delivering well thought out solutions in tight timeframes
* Experience of designing integrated solutions from both customised and predesigned work packets
* Experience with international organisation and multiple regions
* Thrives and enjoys working in a ‘change’ environment with all the ambiguity that can bring
* Degree in Engineering, or other equivalent qualifications
