A formal job plan will be agreed between the successful candidate, the Clinical Director, and consultant colleagues on behalf of the Medical Director, based on departmental needs and the applicant’s strengths and interests to ensure flexibility in recruitment.
Full involvement in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery services in Cornwall, in conjunction with primary care dental services and the Peninsula Dental School.
Responsibilities include:
* Day‑to‑day management of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery workload.
* Assisting in meeting Key Performance Indicators for the Royal Cornwall Hospital.
The Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust is the main provider of acute and specialist care for a population of approximately 500,000 people, with a staff strength of about 6,700 and an annual budget of roughly £580 million.
We are a teaching hospital in partnership with the University of Exeter Medical School, the University of Plymouth School of Nursing and Midwifery, and Peninsula Dental School.
