One Sixth Form College is seeking a Group Head of Faculty to support and manage teachers to raise standards and ensure that students achieve and progress. Leading and inspiring a team, you will be responsible for driving high standards and continuous improvement across the faculty, while maintaining a clear focus on students as the top priority. Working closely with SLT, Group Subject Leads and pastoral staff, the Group Head of Faculty plays a key role in inspection readiness and quality assurance. You will lead on improving teaching and learning, supporting colleagues to deliver effective practice and achieve strong outcomes. The role involves line managing teachers across a range of subject specialisms, fostering both subject expertise and wider professional development. A strong emphasis is placed on building teacher effectiveness through the sharing of best practice, championing formative assessment, and supporting staff in monitoring student progress, retention and attendance. Staff development and wellbeing are central to the role. The Group Head of Faculty helps create a culture where colleagues feel supported, challenged and valued, while promoting access to high-quality training and CPD opportunities. You should hold QTS/QTLS and have experience managing teachers, ideally across multiple disciplines. The role includes a teaching commitment of up to 50 percent (approximately 18 periods).
