Our newly established Ground Investigation department is expanding, and we are looking for enthusiastic graduates to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing division focused on delivering high-quality factual ground investigation services, with plans to develop into interpretative geotechnical and contamination assessments. As a Graduate Engineering Geologist, you will work on a variety of ground investigation projects, supporting senior engineers and project managers. You will gain hands-on experience in site work, data collection, and reporting, while developing your technical knowledge and practical skills. Job Specification The key accountabilities and associated duties include: Assist with site investigations, including soil and rock logging to BS5930 standards. Supervise drilling and sampling operations. Collect and manage geotechnical and geoenvironmental data. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. Prepare factual reports and contribute to project documentation. Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery. Conduct groundwater and gas monitoring, sampling, and perform in-situ geotechnical tests in accordance with project requirements and industry standards. Role Requirements A degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline. Strong interest in ground investigation and geotechnical engineering. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Willingness to travel and work outdoors in varying conditions across the UK. Full UK driving licence (essential). Full rights to work in UK.
