Job Title: Forklift Engineer - Workshop based Salary : £35K - £40K DOE Location: Oxford Shift Pattern: includes Salary uplift Benefits: Pension Life assurance Access to discounts at various retailers Key Responsibilities Perform servicing, repair, and maintenance of diesel, and electric forklift trucks, including hydraulic systems, transmissions, engines, and batteries Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic faults and execute corrective repairs on-site or in workshop environments Carry out preventive maintenance and respond to emergency breakdowns swiftly and effectively. compliance and safety standards Complete accurate job sheets, service reports, parts usage logs, and client communications for each assignment Maintain van stock levels, liaise with parts controllers or service managers, and escalate quotes for major repairs Required Qualifications & Skills Ideally NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance, Motor Vehicle Engineering, Plant Maintenance, or equivalent. Related experience in mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical fault finding, ideally including forklift trucks or plant machinery. An understanding of diagnostic tools or hand held devices Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to work independently or within a team. UK Right to Work Only
