Role Overview:
The CHA/PWT Technician will be responsible for supporting vehicle testing activities, performing software updates, conducting calibration tasks, and assisting with prototype part evaluations. The role requires strong technical expertise in diagnostics, data logging, and hands-on test equipment handling to ensure accurate testing and issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
* Vehicle Testing & Support
* Provide in-territory support for vehicle testing activities.
* Assist cross-functional teams with technical updates, status reporting, and troubleshooting.
* Fault Diagnosis & Resolution
* Diagnose and resolve issues with vehicles, datasets, calibrations, and test equipment.
* Implement corrective actions efficiently.
* Software Management
* Perform software updates on vehicles and systems.
* Verify functionality and integrity after updates.
* Dataset Validation & Analysis
* Conduct testing of datasets for accuracy and reliability.
* Analyse and interpret results to identify anomalies and improvement areas.
* Calibration Activities
* Carry out calibration of radar systems (front & rear), night vision systems, mono and AEB cameras, and 360° top-view cameras.
* Perform alignment, testing, and fine-tuning to ensure compliance with performance standards.
* Vehicle & Rig Preparation
* Support car and rig preparation for testing activities.
* Perform ETK (ECU development) fitting for engine and transmission.
* Carry out wheel swaps for seasonal and specific test requirements.
* Prototype & Equipment Handling
* Install and test prototype parts, documenting feedback on performance and integration.
* Design, assemble, and install data logging equipment, simulation rigs, and flash rigs.
* Build test wires and test boxes as per specifications.
* Technical & Logistic Support
* Manage part ordering and logistics for test activities.
* Provide hands-on technical service during test and development phases.
Skills & Qualifications
* Strong understanding of vehicle systems and diagnostics.
* Experience with test equipment, data logging, and calibration methods.
* Knowledge of ECU development and software flashing tools.
* Analytical and troubleshooting ability with attention to detail.
* Capable of working in collaborative, cross-functional engineering environments.
