Job Title: CNC Turner and Miller Setter Operator
Shift: Shift pattern is flexible, either based on a 40 hour AM / PM rotating (0600 – 1400) (1400 – 2200), an 8 hr shift pattern, with Shift Allowance’s, OR straight Day Shift, with an early finish on Friday.
Rate: £16- £18 per hour (Depending on what you work on) £16-£18 per hour
Job Purpose:
We are currently seeking a skilled CNC (SETTER) ideally with both Milling, and Turning experience, to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting Horizontal & Vertical CNC Milling and a variety of multi spindle CNC Turning machines to produce high-quality parts and components.
Key Responsibilities:

Set up, variety of FANUC CNC Turning machines to produce high-quality components to precise specifications
* Set up of 3 and 4 axis (X Y Z & A) milling machines to produce high-quality components to precise specifications.

Optimize machining processes to improve cycle time, surface finish, and tool life.
*
Conduct first-off and in-process inspections using appropriate metrology tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, CMM).
*
Ensure manufactured components meet drawing tolerances and quality standards.
*
Adjust and modify programs as needed based on feedback from machining and inspection.
*
Perform routine machine maintenance and report issues to maintenance staff.
*
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve technical issues.
*
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and comply with health & safety regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
*
Proven experience in CNC turning and Milling – programming, setting, and operating.
*
Strong knowledge of CNC control systems (Fanuc)
*
Familiarity with precision measurement tools and inspection processes.
*
Experience working with various materials (steel, aluminium, stainless steel)
*
Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement (advantageous).
