Retail Assistant
Job Introduction

We are recruiting for Retail Assistants to work three, four or five days a week, with contracts varying in length.

Responsibilities
* Working as part of a team to deliver a world‑class shopping experience, including replenishment, cash handling, housekeeping and teamwork.
* Providing exceptional customer experience by building rapport, engaging with customers and responding to their needs.
* Managing stock: unloading and unpacking deliveries, maintaining displays and carrying out stock counts.
* Processing a wide variety of transactions from pocket‑money items to limited‑edition prints.
* Adopting a proactive and flexible approach; in an ever‑changing environment adaptability and a positive outlook are key.

* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, excelling when working as part of a team.
* Passionate about delivering an exceptional customer experience, engaging with a diverse audience and using initiative to deliver results.
* Curious, taking time to learn about our products, visitors and processes and using knowledge to support the team and engage customers.
* Committed to keeping the shop looking its best and maintaining high retail standards.
* Experienced at working on a till and able to handle money confidently and accurately.
* Flexible and happy to adapt to changes and help out where needed.

About The Role
* Must be able to work every weekend and some additional weekdays that may vary.
* Variety of vacancies at Tate Modern and Tate Britain, all fixed‑term covering our busy exhibition calendar.
* The role involves working delivery shifts that include unloading, moving and unpacking stock.
* Expected to work evening and early‑morning events.
