Paraplanner
Location - Hinckley / Hybrid (LE10)
Salary - Up to £45,000 pa depending on experience
Hours - Flexible - Full or Part time
An SJP Partner Practice in Hinckley, Leicestershire is looking to appoint an experienced Paraplanner to join their growing team.
The Practice is highly successful and prides itself on offering a first-class service to all their clients, providing bespoke financial advice across personal and corporate financial planning areas including Retirement planning, investment planning, financial protection, mortgages, long-term care, inheritance tax, and estate planning.
This expanding and fast-paced business is based in Hinckley, Leicestershire.
You will provide technical expertise to support the advisory process, undertaking detailed research and analysis of various financial planning solutions, producing compliant advice sets and reports for Financial Advisors/Partners to present to clients.
As the Paraplanner, you will be the go-to for technical queries and will cover the full client journey, including sourcing suitable solutions, preparing detailed reports, and liaising with the Administration team to ensure accurate processing and system updates. Opportunities to attend or host client meetings may arise.
You will aim to produce well-thought-out and meaningful client reports demonstrating attention to detail and understanding of client needs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supporting financial planners with research, analysis, and preparing financial plans.
2. Assisting with investment strategies, retirement planning, tax strategies, and insurance recommendations.
3. Preparing reports, fact finds, and recommendations with accuracy.
4. Maintaining and updating client records, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
5. Staying updated with changes in legislation, tax policies, and investment products.
6. Providing administrative support and assisting in client communications as needed.
7. Experience using St. James's Place software and systems.
8. Experience with cash flow modelling software is preferable.
9. Strong knowledge of Microsoft products.
Paraplanner Requirements
1. Experienced Paraplanner with strong report-writing skills.
2. Level 4 Diploma is desirable but not essential with sufficient paraplanning experience.
3. Experience with Life, Pension, and Investment products.
4. Team fit and a positive approach to work/life balance are important.
5. Hybrid working available after 3 months, with 2-3 days remote per week.
