Teaching Assistant Location: Tower Hamlets Salary: £90 – £110 per day (Depending on Experience) Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Long Term, Full-time Hours: 8:30am – 3:45pm Are you a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking to make a meaningful impact in a supportive primary school setting? GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a welcoming school in Tower Hamlets on a long-term, full-time basis. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils’ learning and development, particularly within Year 2, providing focused SEN support and helping to maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment. Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 SEN support to pupils, tailored to individual needs. Support learning activities in line with the curriculum and lesson plans. Work closely with the class teacher and SEN staff to support progress. Follow school policies, safeguarding procedures, and behaviour strategies. Encourage engagement, confidence, and positive behaviour in pupils. Contribute effectively as part of a collaborative school team. Teaching Assistant (TA) Requirements: Proven SEN experience and a good understanding of additional needs. Recent school-based experience, specifically within Year 2. Ability to deliver effective 1:1 SEN support. Strong teamwork skills and the ability to follow school policies. Good level of spoken and written English.
