NHS Borders Estates & Facilities department has a vacancy for a suitably qualified and experienced Estates Officer to manage a range of projects aimed at developing, maintaining, and upgrading the NHS Borders estate. Previous experience in managing construction projects within a healthcare environment is preferred.
The successful candidate will have experience managing during periods of change, be able to work autonomously, and prioritize competing demands. They will lead and manage multidisciplinary teams of contractors and, where applicable, internal in-house estates staff.
The person will possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, assertiveness, diplomacy, and the ability to solve problems logically and effectively. Clear and articulate communication skills, both written and oral, are essential.
A full/valid driving license is required.
