As a Senior Manufacturing Electrical Engineer at JLR Solihull, you will play a crucial role in enhancing Electrical quality and performance in our vehicles. You will be part of a new, dedicated Manufacturing Electrical Team, driving improvements and resolving issues impacting Electrical systems.
You will be an integral part of a multi-skilled team responsible for driving and improving Electrical RFT (Right First Time) across all current and future programmes. Your duties include investigating and resolving electrical issues, monitoring quality systems, following problem-solving methodologies, data analysis, and reporting key issues. You will work on current programmes to drive continuous improvements and support early launch phases within an agile framework.

WHAT TO EXPECT
As the Senior Manufacturing Electrical Engineer, you'll:
1. Manage a multi-skilled team to maintain and improve Electrical key performance targets.
2. Lead and develop the team to resolve concerns, develop improvements, drive process changes, and engineering resolutions.
3. Lead concern resolution through structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D), ensuring timely and robust corrective actions (ERA, ICA, PCA).
4. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify and implement improvement actions that enhance Electrical performance.
5. Support Electrical delivery and quality assurance in New Model Programmes.
6. Contribute to the preparation and delivery of Electrical Performance Reports.
7. Undertake any other work as directed by the line manager to support team and department objectives.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
To succeed, you'll need:
* A strong technical background and extensive experience with vehicle networks, architectures, and electrical systems.
* Proficiency in interpreting wiring diagrams, vehicle diagnostic data, and experience with vehicle logging, measurement, and diagnostics tools.
* High competence with tools and techniques related to robust problem resolution and the ability to coach others.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
* An understanding of Agile methodology or willingness to learn.
