It is expected that this will be an integral part of everyday clinical activity. The post-holder’s contribution to teaching, training and research will be included in the regular job plan review.

There is a strong translational research programme in Gynaecological Oncology in Oxford, with a main focus on ovarian cancer within an established Ovarian Cancer Cell laboratory at the Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine. The research includes work on understanding the initiation of ovarian cancer, its genomic evolution and metastasis and the mechanistic basis of chemotherapy resistance with particular emphasis on minimal residual disease.
