We’re looking for a passionate Support Worker to join the care team for a vibrant, fun-loving 8-year-old girl who happens to have Autism, ADHD, and other complex needs. She's curious, playful, and full of energy, and she’s looking for someone who can keep up with her world of trampoline bounces, garden adventures, and sensory play! She’s not always able to express herself with words and sometimes needs help navigating the world around her but with the right support, her sparkle shines brightly. If you're the kind of person who can think outside the box, laugh at the mess, and connect with kindness, then this could be your perfect role. What You'll Be Doing: Play & Engage: Dive into her favourite activities – from football in the garden to messy sensory fun. If you love getting stuck in, this is the role for you. Routine & Structure: Help her feel safe and secure by supporting daily routines, promoting positive behaviour and communication. Supervision & Safety: She requires close supervision at all times due to no danger awareness. You’ll also assist with medical equipment such as her wheelchair, chest harness, ankle splints, and be trained in administering anaphylaxis pens. Out & About: As trust grows, you’ll support her in accessing community activities and discovering new experiences. What We’re Looking For: A positive outlook and genuine interest in supporting children with disabilities and complex needs. Creativity, initiative, and the ability to adapt on the go Patience and empathy in spades, with a keen desire to build a strong, understanding bond. Reliability and punctuality, she depends on your presence. Flexibility, as no two days are quite the same. A caring nature, with respect for confidentiality and household boundaries. Experience Not Essential If you’ve worked with children or medical equipment before, wonderful! But if not, full training will be provided. What matters most is your spirit, your care, and your willingness to learn. This is more than a job, it’s a chance to be part of a little girl’s world, helping her feel supported, understood and joyful. If you’re ready to bring energy, warmth and creativity to each day, we can’t wait to hear from you.
