Overview We are currently seeking a highly capable Sector Manager with a strong Tier 1 (or large Tier 2) main contracting background to join the delivery team on a major high-rise residential development in Leeds. This is a £45m scheme, of a 10-storey, 200 apartment block, part of a wider £1bn urban regeneration masterplan reshaping the Leeds city centre skyline. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and polished construction professional to play a key role in one of the region's most significant live projects. The Role As a Sector Manager, you will be responsible for managing a specific portion of the project as it progresses, starting with the frame, structure and eventually taking on responsibility for cladding, façade, and internal fit-out packages. You will lead a specific sector of the site, managing subcontractors, packages, site logistics, and finishing managers (who will oversee individual floors). This role is ideal for someone with a strong trade background who has progressed into management and can operate in a highly professional, polished manner on high-profile projects. Key Responsibilities: Manage and coordinate works within your designated sector (initially framing, then envelope and internals) Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site finishing managers as the build progresses Plan works, manage programme delivery, and coordinate trades to meet deadlines Ensure strict health & safety compliance across your zone of responsibility Maintain quality control, snagging oversight, and package handovers Liaise with the Project Manager, Design Manager, and other Sector Managers to ensure seamless integration across zones Solve day-to-day site issues, mitigate risk, and ensure smooth logistical flow in a tight urban site Requirements Essential Criteria: Experience managing packages or sectors on high-rise residential or commercial projects over £30 million Tier 1 main contractor background is preferred; large Tier 2 contractors with major project experience also considered Strong knowledge of full construction processes, including framing, structure, external envelope packages, and internal fit-out sequencing Background in a core trade (e.g. joinery, drylining, façade, etc.) with progression into site management Ability to lead teams, coordinate trades, and deliver to programme and quality expectations Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with multiple stakeholdersQualifications: SMSTS, CSCS (Gold or Black), First Aid Relevant NVQ or equivalent trade background Temporary Works knowledge is an advantage What's on Offer?
