Interim Estates Surveyor Location: Hampshire - Hybrid Contract: 6 Months Day Rate: £350 Spencer Clarke Group are supporting a Local Authority seeking an Interim Estates Surveyor to manage a busy and diverse HRA commercial property portfolio. This is a hands-on role requiring strong landlord & tenant experience and the ability to manage a varied caseload with pace and accuracy. You will take responsibility for core estate management functions across an extensive commercial portfolio, carrying out rent reviews, lease renewals and new lettings of vacant units. You will also oversee day-to-day property management issues, working closely with the Repairs & Maintenance team to ensure assets are maintained effectively and occupier issues are resolved promptly. Key Responsibilities Carry out rent reviews, lease renewals and negotiate new lettings. Manage a caseload of commercial properties within the HRA portfolio. Oversee repairs, maintenance and property-related issues, collaborating with the Repairs & Maintenance team. Provide landlord & tenant advice and support across the estate. Ensure compliance with statutory and contractual obligations. Maintain accurate property records and support reporting requirements. Engage with tenants professionally and proactively to resolve issues and maintain good relationships. Requirements Proven estates management experience within commercial property. Strong landlord & tenant knowledge, including rent reviews and lease renewals. Experience managing repairs and maintenance issues. Ability to work independently and handle a busy caseload. Local authority or public-sector experience advantageous. Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
