If so, Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated Inclusion Unit Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Doncaster.
About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a school's Inclusion Unit, supporting students who require additional guidance to succeed both academically and emotionally. As an Inclusion Unit TA, you will play a vital role in promoting positive behaviour, engagement, and reintegration into mainstream education.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH needs
* Implement behaviour management strategies and support plans
* Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
* Support learning across a range of subjects
* Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and pastoral teams
* Promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Requirements
* Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Behaviour Mentor, or similar role
* Strong behaviour management skills
* A calm, patient, and adaptable approach
* Experience supporting students with SEMH, SEND, or challenging behaviour (desirable)
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
