Our Operations Team acts as the central point between the Front Office, Risk & Compliance, and the Customer. The team is responsible for overseeing the governance of our Third-Party Administrators such as Northern Trust and Bloomberg.
We are now looking for a Fund Accountant to support us with oversight and governance of these service providers.
Reporting to the Head of Operations, you’ll be responsible for ensuring all aspects of Fund Accounting are compliant with relevant regulations, including oversight of Fund valuations and Report & Accounts.
The role – what you’ll be doing
As a Fund Accountant, your responsibilities will include:
* Ensuring adherence to relevant regulatory requirements and proactively adapting to regulatory changes.
* Coordinating the Fund Accounting relationships with our main partners (Custodian, Depository, Front-Office, Risk & Compliance, and Audit) to meet client requirements.
* Managing periodic Fund reporting, including year-end submissions to FCA compliance.
* Supporting the development of the Fund Accounting function within the operations team.
* Addressing Partner Fund enquiries for Funds we oversee.
* Identifying risks in your area of responsibility and notifying relevant managers.
* Implementing continuous process improvements.
* Deputising for the Senior Fund Accountant when required.
About you – and the value you’ll bring to our team
* You will have relevant Fund Accounting experience within the asset management industry or similar.
* You will be an ACCA (or equivalent) certificate holder.
* You will possess strong analytical and communication skills, confident in presenting complex data clearly.
* You will have knowledge of trade life cycles and investment management processes across various financial instruments.
* You will have experience in an analytical role, with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to improvements.
* You will demonstrate planning, organization, and data management skills, with the ability to communicate technical matters effectively.
* You will be a proactive, self-motivated team player capable of managing a variable workload and supporting colleagues.
