Our Trainee Driver role is for those passionate about customer service.
Train Drivers play a crucial role in setting a new standard for rail in the 21st Century, focused on providing a relaxed, fast, efficient, and enjoyable experience for passengers. Responsibilities include driving trains, delivering excellent customer service, following procedures, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth operations.
Our training program requires dedication, a commitment to an intensive training period, and attention to detail, but offers a rewarding career with opportunities to be part of the future of travel. Throughout training, there will be assessments—both practical and academic—to equip you with the necessary skills to become a qualified driver.

Minimum Requirements:
* You must be 21 years or older to join the training course, as per industry standards.
* You need to live within 60 minutes travel time to your first location depot without relying on public transport when unavailable. This requirement is non-negotiable due to safety responsibilities.
* You must be able to work shifts, including weekends and nights.
* You need to pass a full driver medical, including hearing, sight, and colour vision tests. Applications will not progress without passing these standards.

Previous railway experience is not necessary; we welcome candidates from various industries and backgrounds. We value energy, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn.

The training salary is £32,489 annually, increasing to £69,105 upon qualification.
