The role of Sleep and Respiratory Physiologist is to provide a high quality, patient focused, efficient Respiratory Physiology service within Papworth Hospital NHS Trust.
The Key Duty is to work as part of the Sleep Laboratory Team to provide a Sleep Diagnostics Service and support the Management Team in planning and quality control of the service. This will include:
* Prepare patients and set up equipment for polysomnography
* Analyse, interpret and report respiratory polygraphy and actigraphy studies
* Assessment of patients referred to the sleep services by clinical interview and report outcomes to their care teams
* Represent the Department to the wider hospital, working with other Departments and clinical teams as necessary
* Support the development of the Sleep Laboratory service so it continues to meet clinical need
* Actively participate in research, audit and service evaluation
