We’re looking for a Payroll Specialist to join a growing, forward-thinking automotive business based onsite near Daventry, Northamptonshire on a Full-time or Part-time basis!

As part of a close‑knit finance team, you’ll own the UK payroll process while contributing to a busy, evolving department that values collaboration and progression.
What You’ll Do as the Payroll Specialist
* Run and administer monthly payroll for UK employees (circa 250), ensuring total accuracy and compliance
* Serve as the go‑to person for all payroll and pension queries in‑person, over email and via phone
* Liaise with HMRC on PAYE and tax queries, resolving any discrepancies quickly
* Administer the company’s pension scheme and manage employee queries
* Prepare month‑end payroll journals and assist with reconciliations
* Collaborate with HR to process overtime, absences and benefits
* Support expense and contractor payments, maintaining organised records
* Keep systems and processes aligned with the latest legislation and best practice
Who We’re Looking For
* 3+ years’ experience in a payroll function
* Confident communicator who enjoys working with people across all levels
* Strong attention to detail, with a methodical and proactive approach
* Comfortable using payroll systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
* Payroll qualification desirable but not essential—experience counts too!
