Responsibilities
1. Ensure high availability and efficiency of gas engines and related equipment through effective maintenance, fault diagnosis, and resolution.
2. Swiftly responding to faults to optimise operational uptime.
3. Performing preventative and corrective maintenance to avoid unnecessary part replacements and reduce downtime.
4. Provide technical support alongside other engineers and escalate issues to the senior field service engineer/ operations supervisor.
5. Handling emergency callouts promptly.
6. Managing oil sampling in compliance with established standards.
7. Accurately selecting, requesting, and managing parts, returning unused items to reduce waste.
8. Keeping van stock tidy and well-documented, promptly reporting any stock discrepancies.
9. Maintain communication with the Operations Supervisor
10. Document all visits and complete service reports to the required quality and timelines.
11. Ensure all company equipment is well-kept and clean.
12. Maintain and ensure all tooling is calibrated.
13. Support the Operations Supervisor as required and provide staff with technical training when required.
14. Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
15. Occasional overnight stays may be required.
16. 40 hour working week door to door.

Skills & Experience
17. Reasonable level of IT skills.
18. High level of engineering skill with a minimum of 3 years engine experience.
19. High level of mechanical and/or electrical experience.
20. Willingness to travel and work flexible hours when required.
21. NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Qualification.
22. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK and hold a full UK driving license.
Preferred
23. Gas safe registered
24. Experience with Jenbacher 624 and 616 engines.
25. Experience with MWM 3020 and 2020 engines.
26. HV/LV Experience
