Gama Aviation is actively seeking talented B1 Licenced Engineers to support an exciting project based at Glasgow Airport. This opportunity is to support a high‑profile customer through a dedicated workforce understanding the need to deliver impeccable service in an active operational environment.
The B1 Licenced Engineer (B1 LAE) is a certifying Licensed Engineer position and must hold a valid UK CAA/EASA PART 66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence.

The B1 LAE must be prepared to work flexibly as part of a team, not only locally at Glasgow but as an integral part of the Gama Engineering Group, and must have strong communication, organisation and leadership skills.

Responsibilities
* Carry out scheduled Base and Line maintenance activities at the Glasgow Base and provide certification of own work alongside supervision and certification of unlicensed engineers’ work.
* Carry out aircraft maintenance as an unlicensed engineer when required for aircraft types not held on approval.
* Ensure completion to schedule of customer order requirements when acting as supervising, certifying or category C engineer for a given input.
* Perform AOG activities at and away from the Glasgow Base.
* Comply with GAEL Maintenance Organisation Exposition and published processes and procedures.
* Ensure that Health and Safety procedures, processes and COSHH are always observed.
* Maintain high standards of day‑to‑day housekeeping for yourself and engineers you supervise.
* Assist the Commercial Department in generating estimates for Line or Base Maintenance Services when required, giving advice on man hours, parts, services and any likely additional costs.
* Travel to, and work at, other GAEL bases for short periods of time as required.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required
* Hold an unrestricted CAA/EASA Part 66 Licence Category B1.
* Flexibility and willingness to travel to other Gama locations.
* Computer literate with excellent communication skills.
* Eligible to hold a UK security clearance.
* Full UK driving licence.
