We are looking for a talented and motivated Project Manager to join our Transformation Team within the Resources Directorate. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering West Berkshire Council&s Accommodation Review Programme$ûan initiative focused on optimising our use of space and improving how we work across the organisation.
You&ll be part of a supportive and forward-thinking team, working closely with senior stakeholders and colleagues across the council. If you&re passionate about delivering change, enjoy working collaboratively, and have a strong background in project management, we&d love to hear from you.
The role
* Lead and manage accommodation-related projects within the Transformation Programme.
* Deliver projects using WBC&s Project Management Methodology and governance framework.
* Provide regular updates to the Programme Manager, Transformation Director, and stakeholders.
* Identify and manage risks, issues, and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
* Build strong working relationships across departments to support project delivery.
* Promote the Council&s values and ensure equality, health and safety, and customer service standards are upheld.
The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications, skills and attributes
* Project Management professional qualification.
* At least 3 years& experience in project management.
* Experience of working in a public sector environment.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
* A proactive and solution-focused approach, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
This role is fixed term until 31/12/2025 - Time limited project
