Location: Golborne, Warrington Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant Start Date: September 2025 Daily Rate: £105 – £140 (Paid weekly via PAYE) A supportive and welcoming primary school in Golborne, Warrington is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team from September 2025. The school is looking for a confident and flexible HLTA who can lead whole-class learning, deliver targeted interventions, and provide effective PPA cover across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and a genuine passion for inclusive education. Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality whole-class sessions in the absence of the class teacher. Support pupils on a one-to-one and small group basis, particularly those with SEND. Plan and deliver targeted interventions to support pupil progress. Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, and wider staff team to meet pupil needs. Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing feedback to class teachers. Essential Criteria: HLTA qualification or significant experience delivering whole-class sessions. Proven experience working with children with SEND in a primary setting. Strong behaviour management and classroom leadership skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Calm, adaptable, and proactive approach to supporting children’s learning. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). Desirable: Experience delivering interventions for pupils with speech, language, and communication needs, ASD, or SEMH.
