Location: Near Ashford, Kent
Contract type: Permanent
Start date: ASAP
Salary: £55 - 70k (negotiable - depending upon experience)

The Projects:
A diverse portfolio of civil engineering schemes ranging from road improvements, concrete repairs & reinstatements, aviation projects, paving repairs, utilities and specialist framework projects.
The Role:
This is the perfect opportunity working with a well known civils contractor, who hold an excellent reputation in the regionally.
This role will be site / office based 5 days a week, with some potential flexibility.
You will be responsible for:
1. Procuring sub-contractors, agreeing prices and letting the packages
2. Negotiating costs with various parties
3. Drawing up contracts (NEC)
4. Monthly reporting (CVR)
5. Responsible for work package change control and management
6. Dealing with any pricing variations
7. Responsible for project re-measure
8. Preparing final accounts
9. Change management
10. Managing subcontractors
11. Working within an integrated team
Requirements:
12. NEC 3 or 4 (Option B and E experience)
13. Degree / HND in Quantity Surveying
14. Excellent IT and maths skills are essential
15. Attention to detail
16. Excellent report writing and negotiation skills are essential
17. Experience in - highways, bridges, infrastructure, environmental, frameworks and special works
Benefits:
18. £55,000 - 70,000 per annum (depending on experience) + package
