Key Responsibilities:
As a Chef, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals for around 100 residents:
7. Plan and prepare nutritious, balanced meals tailored to residents’ needs
8. Cater for special diets, including modified textures in line with IDDSI guidelines
9. Maintain excellent standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness
10. Manage stock, ordering, and kitchen budgets effectively
11. Work closely with care teams to meet individual preferences
12. Supervise kitchen staff and ensure compliance with all regulations
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for a reliable and compassionate Chef who brings:
13. Experience in catering, ideally within a care or healthcare setting
14. Good understanding of nutrition, particularly for elderly residents
15. Knowledge of special diets, including allergies and IDDSI standards
16. Strong food hygiene and safety knowledge (HACCP)
17. Ability to plan menus and manage budgets efficiently
18. Strong communication and teamwork skills
19. A caring, resident-focused approach
20. Confidence in supervising and supporting a team
21. Enhanced DBS (completed by the client)
