Overview
Following an organisational change within the pharmacy department this exciting opportunity has become available. We are looking for a enthusiastic and motivated pharmacist to lead the cancer pharmacy team within NUH. This role has responsibility for the following specialities within the directorate (ORCHIDS): Oncology, Haematology, Immunology and Dermatology.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the clinical pharmacy service within the Directorate.
* Line manage the team of Advanced Pharmacy Practitioners and Specialist Clinical Pharmacists.
* Provide an expert, patient-facing, clinical pharmacy service within the Directorate acting as a clinical pharmacist role model.
* Support the Directorate with all matters relating to medicines such as governance and safety.
* Demonstrate compassionate leadership, inspiring and motivating the team.
* Form part of the Pharmacy Clinical Services Management Team and work with colleagues regionally and nationally to deliver excellent care.
* Lead, manage and strategically develop clinical pharmacy and medicines management services to the ORCHIDS Directorate.
* Oversight for the management of chemotherapy use within oncology and haematology within the trust.
* Support Specialist Clinical Pharmacists and other team members in delivering the best possible clinical pharmacy service within assigned resources.
* Develop collaborative working relationships.
* Deliver service objectives and education, training, and development of others.
* Use research to deliver effective practice and undertake research to inform practice.
* Take full part in the 7‑day shifted rota and bank holiday duties and partake in general clinical pharmacy duties.
* Be based at City Hospital campus with expectation to travel to Queens Medical Centre campus.
