Mechanical Project Engineer Jackson Hogg is proud to be recruiting for a Mechanical Project/Design Engineer to join a close-knit engineering team based in Sunderland. This role offers the opportunity to work on the design and development on specialist machinery to support internal and external clients within the transport sector. The Mechanical Project Engineer will collaborate closely with the workshop staff and supervisor, procurement and the operations manager. Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Project Engineer * Manage and update CAD Bills of Materials using Autodesk Inventor/Vault and the in-house PLM system. * Support new product development. * Produce accurate engineering drawings and related technical documentation. * Respond to engineering queries arising from Fleet Operations. * Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, including Individual Vehicle Approval (IVA) and Machinery Directive (CE Marking). * Work within the ISO quality framework and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
