Job Title: Stores Operative
Reporting to: Operations Manager
Liaison:
* Internally:Managers, Engineers and Sales of TDM and Group Subsidiaries.
* Externally:Customers, Sub-contractors and Suppliers.
Deputy: Operations Manager
Key Responsibilities
* Manage all aspects of the day-to-day stores’ operation
* Purchase supply of products/materials.
* Ensuring that stores and project records are kept up to date.
* Supervise the receipt and despatch of deliveries.
* Processing of goods inwards and outwards.
* Unloading stock from deliveries
* Managing stock levels and ensuring products availability
* Responsible for all paperwork relating to the receiving and dispatching of goods.
* Packaging goods and equipment, ready for dispatch.
* Occasionally delivering products and equipment to sites
* Maintenance of stock.
* Ensuring that stores and project records are kept up to date.
* Maintaining a clean and tidy stores area.
* Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and quality management standards.
* Follow policies for proper use and care of equipment and materials
* Carry out additional tasks within your capability to meet the needs of the business.
* Liaising with Project and Site Staff, as necessary, to ensure efficient work implementation.
Qualifications, experience and competences:
* Understanding of Health & Safety safe working practises.
* Adept in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
* Logical and objective problem solver.
* Self-motivated and capable of working on own initiative.
* Should have the persistence and the ability to see a job through to its conclusion.
* Keen and flexible attitude to work.
* Reliable, trustworthy and physically fit.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Willingness to do extra hours when the job requires it.
* Driving license
