We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, innovative and enthusiastic Advanced Specialist Pharmacist to join our forward-thinking, friendly and expanding Health & Justice team at HMP YOI Feltham. By joining our Prisons Health Care Team, you will look after the healthcare needs of our patients in secure environments and have the opportunity to promote health and well-being.

Main duties of the job
* Maintain and improve standards of clinical pharmacy practice, quality assurance, risk management, and other issues related to medicines optimisation within HMYOI Feltham & HMP Feltham.
* Lead, develop, deliver, and evaluate pharmacy and medicine optimisation services for CNWL at HMYOI Feltham & HMP Feltham.
* Manage and develop the pharmacy team alongside the Lead Pharmacist.
* Deliver comprehensive medicines optimisation services to patients and multidisciplinary teams.
* Manage the cost-effective ordering of medicines and medical supplies, as well as pharmacy staff resources.
* Ensure compliance with medicines legislation, especially controlled drugs legislation.
* Contribute to policy, procedures, audits, and research related to pharmaceuticals.
* Collaborate with the CNWL medicines management team to align pharmacy services with community and national initiatives.
* Coordinate with prison pharmacy supply, security, and healthcare functions to ensure effective dispensing and supply services.
* Attend senior meetings as delegated by the Head of Healthcare and Lead Pharmacist.

* Provide data for KPIs and CQC assessments related to medicines optimisation. Implement actions to address shortfalls.
* Manage the Medicines Optimisation Group at HMYOI Feltham & HMP Feltham.
* Deputise for the Lead Pharmacist, including attending senior meetings.
* Maintain and update action plans related to medicines management.
