Roles that require PVG Membership
Please note that, with effect from 1 April 2023, candidates will be required to meet the cost of the PVG membership for roles with a full-time equivalent salary of £30,000 and above.
The Council will pay for the PVG membership cost initially (£18 for existing PVG scheme members or £59 for non-members) and deduct it from the employee’s first full month’s salary payment.
Job Purpose/About The Role
The post holder will carry out business and finance tasks to support the provision of an effective and efficient support service to Children’s Social Work.
We have an exciting opportunity to join Aberdeen City Council, Children’s Social Work Service, to provide administrative support. The post will be based at Quarry Centre, Aberdeen, and will predominantly support the teams working with kinship and foster carers, adopters, and the Family Time Hub.
The Post Holder Needs To Hold As a Minimum
* Educated to National 4 level or equivalent
* PVG Membership for Regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults, or willingness to obtain prior to a formal offer of employment being made.
The Postholder Is Able To Demonstrate
* Office administration
* Working with others co-operatively and flexibly to achieve better services and customer-focused outcomes
* Using a variety of IT packages
* Organising and prioritising own workload
